Downtown Sioux Falls Streets Reopen After Bomb Squad Clears Suspicious Vehicle Near ‘No Kings’ Rally Site

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Sioux Falls Police shut down parts of downtown Friday night after a bomb-sniffing dog alerted on a suspicious vehicle near West 12th Street and South Phillips Avenue. According to KELOLand, the car, found stolen and parked in a handicapped space with its windows down, drew extra concern due to its proximity to Saturday’s planned “No Kings” rally. Police closed nearby streets and parking ramps as the bomb squad investigated. The vehicle was later cleared — no explosives were found — and the area has been deemed safe.
