The Mitchell School Board on Monday will consider authorizing two agenda items related to the new high school. One item will authorize the issue of $7.5 million in limited tax obligation certificates, and the other will authorize $17 million in general obligation bonds that will go toward the construction of the new Mitchell High School, which is currently under construction. Agenda notes state that the financing for the completion of the Mitchell High School construction project to add the high school gymnasium, locker rooms, weight room, auxiliary room, multi-purpose room, wrestling room and offices is the issuance of $17 million in general obligation bonds as approved by voters in June 2023.

Today’s Mitchell School Board meeting begins at 5:30 PM at L.B. Williams Elementary School. The meeting is open to the public.
