Mitchell Softball

The Kernel softball team will be back in action tonight and tomorrow night. They’ll be on the road in Watertown, SD tonight facing the Arrows and in Sioux Falls, SD tomorrow taking on Sioux Falls Jefferson. JV will start at 4pm and varsity begins at 5:30pm both days.

Mitchell Golf

The Kernels girls golf team will look for another top finish today when they head over to Sioux Falls, SD. They will compete at Willow Run Golf Course against various other schools. Tee times start at 10am.

Mitchell Baseball

The Kernel baseball team will return home tomorrow night for a doubleheader. They will host Sioux Falls Roosevelt at Drake Field in Mitchell. The first pitch will be at 5pm.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel boys tennis team has an overall team record of 10-3 this season and will look to add another win today. They’ll be at home playing at Hitchcock Park as they host Pierre T.F. Riggs. Matches will start at 10:30am.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins closed out their series against the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday afternoon. They ended up splitting the series two games apiece after a 4-3 win yesterday. They are now 15-20 overall and get started with a new series tomorrow night. Minnesota will travel to Washington to face the Nationals, and the game will begin on Tuesday at 5:45pm on MLBTV.

NBA

The first round has come to an end and now begins the Semifinals in the Eastern and Western Conference. A pair of games are set for tonight and they are both Game 1’s. You’ll have:

  • No. 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers @ No. 3 seed New York Knicks at 7pm on NBC/Peacock
  • No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves @ No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs at 8:30pm on NBCSN/Peacock

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice continues serving jail sentence as team begins voluntary offseason workouts
