Outdoor Aquatic Center Open for Season in Mitchell


MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The outdoor pool is now open in Mitchell, providing a great way to cool off and survive the summer swelter.

Another heat wave is forecast for the city at the end of the week. Storm chances disappear beginning on Friday with a high expected at 86 degrees. That surges to the low-90’s by Sunday. The pool is located at 1201 E. Hanson Avenue, and available for use from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. seven days a week.

The day fee for individuals is $7.00. That rises to $22 for families up to six people. Season passes are available, but they must be bought at the Rec Center. A pass for individuals is $93.50 and $184.50 for families.

The aquatic center features a wading pool, waterslides, and laned lap pool, guaranteeing fun for all ages.
