SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The revenue picture showed some improvement for the city of Sioux Falls last month. Sales tax revenues have been lagging for more than a year, but the picture for the month of August was better. Still, City Finance Director Shawn Pritchett told City Councilors more improvement is needed to hit budget targets. The Finance Department assumed 3-percent sales tax growth for the current year’s budget. Pritchett says we would need to see 4.8 percent growth for the remainder of this year in order to reach that target. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
