Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team rounded out their season last night with a game against the Yankton Bucks. It was Senior Night and also a tough night for Mitchell. They fell to Yankton, 40-7 at home. They ended the season with a 1-8 overall record.

Mitchell Volleyball

The No. 5 Kernel volleyball team will return to action tonight to face the Tea Area Titans. It will be on the road in Tea at Tea Area high school with freshman and JV playing at 4:30pm, sophomores at 5:30pm and varsity at 6:30pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tigers soccer teams return to action tomorrow afternoon but will be in two different locations. The men will be on the road headed to Nebraska for their next matchup. They’ll be in Bellevue, NE playing at Papillion Landing against Bellevue with the men at 3pm. The women will be in Omaha, NE taking on the College of Saint Mary at Heritage Park.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team has a match tonight here in Mitchell. They’ll host the Northwestern Red Raiders for Senior Night & Homecoming at 7:30pm in the Christen Athletic Center.

DWU Cross Country

The Tiger men’s and women’s cross country teams will be at the same location competing over the weekend in the Blazing Tiger Open. It will be in Ashland, NE at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park beginning at 10:45am for the men and the women.

DWU Football

The Tiger football team are set to host Homecoming here in Mitchell at Joe Quintal Field. DWU will play the Waldorf Warriors at 2pm.

SDSU Football

The No. 2 Jackrabbit football team will have its toughest matchup of the season tomorrow evening. They will take on the No. 1 North Dakota State Bison at home in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium at 7pm on ESPNU.

MLB

The World Series is set to begin tonight. It’s a matchup between the No. 1 seed Toronto Blue Jays and the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Dodgers. LA will look to repeat as champion and Toronto looking for their first World Series since the early 90’s when they won back-to-back titles. Game 1 is in Toronto and begins at 7pm on FOX.

NFL

The Minnesota Vikings took on the Los Angeles Chargers last night for Thursday Night Football on Prime Video. It ended being the Chargers dominating the Vikings at home, coming away with a 37-10 win. Minnesota falls to 3-5 overall.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves get back to the court tonight and will again be on the road. They will be in Los Angeles taking on the Lakers at 7pm on Prime Video.
