Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team is playing tonight as well and they’re back on the road. They will face the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles at the Gene Brownell Complex and begin at 7pm.

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernel soccer teams were in action against West Central last night on the road. The girls found some success and even dominated with a 4-0 win. The boys were not as fortunate, but they battled, and it slipped away in the final 15 seconds or so and James Valley Christian got the win, 1-0.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball team took on Sioux Falls Roosevelt last night on the road. They ended up taking down Sioux Falls Roosevelt on the road, 3-2. Mitchell will be competing twice over the weekend out West in the Spearfish Quad. Tomorrow they will face the Spearfish Spartans at 2pm MT/3pm CT and against the Douglas Patriots at 4:30pm MT/5:30pm CT with both games at Spearfish high school.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams see the field this weekend. They are here tomorrow night in Mitchell hosting the Doane Tigers at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex. The men will play at 5pm and the women will start at 7:30pm.

DWU Cross Country

The Tiger men’s cross country team is set to compete this weekend. They are in Jamestown, ND this morning to participate in the Jamestown Invitational. It will begin at 9:30am.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team will be here in Mitchell tonight. They will host the College of Saint Mary tonight for Parent Night in the Christen Athletic Center with their match beginning at 7:30pm.

DWU Football

The Tiger football team looks to regain their footing tomorrow night when they go to Crete, NE. They will take on the Doane Tigers at Al Papik Field with kickoff at 1pm.

SDSU Football

The No. 2 Jackrabbit football team is back on the road this week. It is their first time on the road since Sept. 13 and they will be in Youngstown, OH taking on Youngstown State. The game will kickoff at 5pm and air on ESPN+.

WNBA

The WNBA Finals are set. It will be the No. 4 seed Phoenix Mercury at the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces. Game 1 is tonight in Las Vegas at 7pm on ESPN. It is a first-of-its-kind matchup where both head coaches are South Dakota natives. Becky Hammon (Rapid City, SD) and Nate Tibbetts (Jefferson, SD).

NFL

Thursday Night Football took place last night between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. The game even went to overtime and and it was the 49ers who came out on top, 26-23. The Minnesota Vikings will be in London taking on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at 8:30am on NFL Network/NFL+.
