Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams travel out west for the weekend and will be in action against Sturgis tonight. It begins with the boys/girls JV and boys freshman teams all playing at 3:30pm, followed by the sophomore boys/girls playing at 4:45pm. Then you’ll have the varsity as the (RV) Kernel girls play at 6pm and the boys will follow and play at 7:30pm. All listed times are mountain time, which is one hour behind central time.

Mitchell Wrestling

The Kernel wrestling teams took on Pierre T. F. Riggs in a varsity dual last night. The results are listed below. Also, Mitchell competes again today at 9am in a Varsity Tournament at Yankton high school.

Mitchell Hockey

The Marlins boys varsity hockey team will be back in Mitchell, SD tonight. They’ll be hosting Yankton in the Mitchell Activities Center in the Toshiba Rink. The puck will drop at 8pm. 

Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team will have their Class AA Qualifier Varsity Meet tomorrow. It will go down at Watertown high school and begin at 2pm.

DWU Softball

The Tiger softball team get their season started on the road today. They will be in Sioux Center, IA playing at the ASB Sports Complex Softball Classic. DWU will take on York (NE) first at Noon and then play Culver-Stockton (MO) at 4pm.

DWU Baseball

The Tiger baseball team will begin their season tomorrow afternoon, and it will also be their home opener. They’ll be here in Mitchell, SD playing at Drake Field against Valley City State. It will be a doubleheader with games played at 1 & 3pm.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be back home tonight in Minneapolis, MN. They will host the New Orleans Pelicans and Zion Williamson at the Target Center. Tipoff is set for 7pm on NBA League Pass.
