Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams will be facing Brookings tomorrow at Brookings high school. Girls/Boys JV and freshman boys begin at 3:30pm, sophomore boys and girls will be at 4:45pm and varsity girls begin at 6pm followed by the (RV) varsity boys who begin at 7:30pm.

Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team is set to compete tomorrow evening. They’ll be on the road at Huron competing at Huron Tiger Activity Center. It all gets started at 5:30pm.

Mitchell Hockey

The Marlins boys hockey team are set for a busy weekend. They’ll compete in a Varsity Tournament in Shakopee, MN from Friday through Sunday. Games will be played throughout the day.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams each took on Waldorf last night in the Corn Palace. The No. 9 women’s basketball team had a dominating performance and cruised to a 97-35 victory. Emma Yost led the way with 20 points. The DWU women are now 14-4 overall. The men had a strong start to the game with a 12-point advantage at the half. They were able to keep things up and came away with an 83-70 win. Steele Morgan led the team with 22 points and eight rebounds. The DWU men are now 10-9 overall.

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit women’s basketball team will play tonight when they host Denver at First Bank & Trust Arena. Tipoff will be at 7pm and also airing on the Summit League Network. The men’s team took on the North Dakota State Bison last night on the road in Fargo, ND. They had a slow start in the first half trailing by 12 and ended up losing, 76-65. Jaden Jackson led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves have the night off but will return to game action tomorrow night. They’ll be in Houston taking on the Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The game will air on ESPN and begin at 8:30pm.
