Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team will begin their season tonight. They’ll be in Yankton taking on the Yankton Gazelles and the Parkston/Ethan/Hanson/Mount Vernon Royals at the River City Gymnastics & Cheer Center at 5pm.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams will be competing in the third annual Battle of the Blues against the Dakota State Trojans tonight. Games will be played in the DSU Fieldhouse in Madison, SD. The Tiger women have yet to win in the first two meetings and are looking for win number one and the men are tied one win each. The No. 14 women’s basketball team (5-2) will face No. 4 Trojans WBB (7-1) at 5pm. The Tiger men (5-4) will battle with Trojans MBB (6-1) at 7pm.

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit basketball teams will both compete in the Big Sky – Summit Challenge through Saturday. They’ll have a pair of games with one at home and the other in Flagstaff, AZ. It begins tomorrow with the (RV) Jackrabbit women (6-2) facing Weber State (2-5) at home at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD. Tipoff is at 7pm and will air on the Summit League Network. The Jackrabbit men (4-4) will be in Flagstaff, AZ taking on Northern Arizona (4-2) with tipoff tomorrow at 7pm.

NFL

Last night was Monday Night Football in the NFL between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots in Foxborough, MA. Another game, another win for the Patriots as they become the first team this season to get to 11 wins after defeating the Giants, 33-15. Drake Maye went 24-for-31 passing, threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns to lead New England.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves (12-8) get back on the road for their next game. They’ll travel to New Orleans to face the Pelicans (3-18) with tipoff set for 7pm at the Smoothie King Center.
