Mitchell Basketball

The (RV) Kernel girls basketball team begins Class AA State Tournament action tomorrow evening. They are the No. 7 seed and will begin with a game against the No. 2 seed O’Gorman Knights. Tipoff is set for 5pm MT/6pm CT and prior to the game at 3pm MT the Kernels will host a pep rally in the hospitality room at the Elevation Inn & Suites hotel.

DWU Golf

The Tiger men’s golf team has wrapped up play in the Crestview Spring Invitational in Wichita, KS. DWU finished in fifth place as a team with a 50 over par score. They had a pair of players finish inside the Top 15 with Peyton Betcher T-14th place after an eight over par finish and Dakota Munger got 12th place with a six over par score.

DWU Softball

The Tiger softball team ended up having no games yesterday afternoon for the Tucson Invitational. The Dickinson State (ND) game was cancelled, and the Providence (MT) game was pushed to today at 4:30pm. Following that game, the Tigers will face OUAZ at 6:30pm. Both games are on Lincoln Park- Field 6. While DWU baseball is done with games in Tucson, AZ, the softball team will actually continue playing through Friday.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Los Angeles Lakers on the road last night. It was a tough night Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves, and they could not stop Luka Doncic or Austin Reaves who combined for 62 of the Lakers points in a 120-106 win. Edwards shot just 2-for-15 from the field but still led the team with 14 points and Julius Randle added 14 as well.
