MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The recent weather is causing some delays as area cemeteries prepare for Memorial Day weekend. At Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sioux Falls, staff are cleaning up tree branches that were knocked down by strong winds. Executive Director Matt Gage says it’s been a challenging spring, with some emergency landscaping needed. Volunteers have started placing flowers at grave sites. Despite the setbacks, Gage said he is confident the cemetery will be ready for Memorial Day, a time when many families reconnect with their loved ones. For more of your weather outlook, click here.
